We recommend the paper-hanging technique: first envision your frame layout; then trace the frame perimeter on paper, making sure to pencil-mark the location of the hangers on your paper “frames.” Tape your paper to the wall, making sure it’s level. Hammer your nails in the hanger marks you’ve made, then take the paper down. Hang your frames on the nails, and voila! Step back to enjoy your handiwork.
Or, you can just watch this awesome video we made.
We recommend using nails and hanging the frames from at least two points in order to offer security of the frame and to prevent warping that can be caused when hanging by a single, center point.
We advise to not use wire or any other type of hanging hardware, as it can damage or crack the frames.
We also do not recommend drilling into the moldings to add a hanging wire, as this will damage your frame.
When hanging larger frames, make sure to hang them from two points. Our larger frames include two sawtooth hangers for this purpose. We suggest using a longer, sturdier nail, something similar to a framing (home construction) nail.
